About
I live in Bend, Oregon with my wife Sherry, our six-year-old daughter Abigail, and our two German Shepherds, Sasha and Rex.
I learned photography on film, went digital in the early 2000s like everyone else, and eventually found my way back. These days nearly everything I shoot runs through a medium format film camera, usually the Pentax 67ii. Ten frames to a roll has a way of making you honest: you wait for the light, you pick your shot, and you live with what you got.
What I Shoot
Mostly the West as I find it: old trucks, main streets, rodeos, barns, roadside churches, and the mountains behind all of it. Central Oregon keeps me busy, but a lot of these were made on road trips through California and beyond.
Portraits
I also shoot portraits on film, mostly family, friends, and people I meet along the way. I book a small number of sessions each year.
